2025 AAAAI / WAO Joint Congress

General Information

Admission to Sessions
Admission to the 2025 AAAAI / WAO Joint Congress educational sessions is reserved for meeting registrants and registered members of the press only. Guests and exhibitors will not be admitted to educational sessions. In consideration of fire codes and as a courtesy to others, those without tickets will not be allowed into ticketed sessions.

Airports
San Diego International Airport (SAN) is located approximately 4 miles / 12 minutes from the San Diego Convention Center. For more information, visit the San Diego International Airport website.

Joint Congress Mobile App
The Joint Congress mobile app features tools allowing you to search by speaker or session type, organize your schedule, evaluate speakers and sessions, claim credits, respond to polls and ask questions in sessions, browse exhibitor information and stay current with changes during the meeting. The mobile app will be available for download in October 2024 from the App Store or Play Store on your mobile device.

Children and Guests
Show Management asks delegates to refrain from taking children, spouses or guests to any educational session offered at the Joint Congress. For local childcare options, we recommend contacting the concierge staff in your hotel. Registered guests are welcome to relax in the Hospitality Suite or visit the Exhibit Hall. An adult must accompany children under the age of 18 at all times.

Committee Meetings
Committee meetings are held in conjunction with the Joint Congress for the purpose of conducting AAAAI or WAO related business. Current and newly appointed members of each committee are expected to attend these meetings. A schedule of AAAAI committee meetings taking place at the Joint Congress will be included in the Online Planner.

WAO committee meeting schedules will be shared directly with committee members preceding the Joint Congress.

Exhibits
Exhibitors will provide the latest information on products and services available to physicians, researchers and allied health professionals in the field of allergy/immunology.

Lost & Found
Any items turned in to the Registration Desk will be kept for 30 days after the conclusion of the Joint Congress. After 30 days, any unclaimed items will be discarded.
      
Recording of Sessions
Individual recording of educational sessions is not permitted. Recordings of the Joint Congress will be available online approximately 4 weeks after the conclusion of the live meeting. The recordings include presentation slides along with video and audio for the Plenary and Keynote sessions, and presentation slides synchronized with the audio recordings for selected courses, symposia, workshops, pro/con debates and allied health sessions. Most ticketed sessions are not recorded. The Online Planner, available in October 2024, will indicate which sessions will be recorded.

Registration
Access to online registration will be given to AAAAI Fellows and Faculty on Wednesday, October 2, 2024; to all AAAAI members on Wednesday, October 16, 2024; and to all delegates on Wednesday, October 30, 2024. Exhibitor registration opens on November 13, 2024. The deadline for early registration pricing is Wednesday, February 5, 2025.

The registration desk will be located in the San Diego Convention Center, Ground Level, Hall C Concourse. Please allow adequate time to collect your registration badge in case of lines, especially if you plan to pick it up on Friday morning. Onsite registration will also be available.  

Special Accessibility Needs
If you require special arrangements in order to fully participate in the Joint Congress, please include the request at the time of your registration.

Special Dietary Requirements
All menus served at the Joint Congress will be free of nuts, pork and shellfish. Vegetarian options will be available at all functions with food. If you are a vegetarian, please inform the server assigned to the room at the beginning of the session. If items on the daily, pre-arranged menu do not meet your special dietary requirements (e.g., allergies, kosher) an alternative option can be made available. Please notify an AAAAI staff member at the Registration Desk to ensure arrangements are made. Special arrangements require at least 72 hours advance notice.

Time Zone
All events are listed in Pacific Standard Time (PST).

Transportation
The San Diego International Airport offers various types of ground transportation for your visit. Rental cars, taxis, public transportation and ride share services (such as Lyft and Uber) are all available.

Taxi service from the San Diego International Airport to the San Diego Convention Center and nearby hotels is approximately 12 minutes and approximately $15-25 not including gratuity (traffic during peak times will cause delays and increased fares). For more information, visit the

Weather & Dress
The average temperature in San Diego, CA, USA in February-March is 65° F (18° C) and the average precipitation is 2.26 inches. Attire should be consistent with the professional atmosphere of the Joint Congress.
